Have you ever heard “Bonfire Night”? Can you imagine how the festival is held? This is a famous festival in the United Kingdom. Now, let me tell you about “Bonfire Night”.
This festival is held on November 5th. The day is displayed fireworks and burned bonfire through the UK. In the UK, firework is event from autumn to winter. It is the different point from Japan. In Japan, firework is usually held in summer, but in the UK, it is held in this season.
Then, children make dolls of Guy Fawkes for the day. And they pull about it around the town with saying “A penny for the Guy”. They get some money from passers, and they buy fireworks the money. The day of Bonfire Night, finally, dolls are burned in bonfire and fireworks are displayed.
Bonfire Night is also called Guy Fawkes Day. Why do we call Guy Fawkes Day? The answer is in the history of the day.
